Meet the Founder
Known as Silicon Valley’s perfumer, Kori Shaw bridges the worlds of engineering, fragrance, and technology. She studied mechanical engineering at MIT and UC Berkeley, focusing on semiconductor manufacturing, and conducted research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory. She later worked at Compute.Exchange, the world’s first open exchange for AI compute. Different industries, same instinct: understanding how things work.
Perfumery began as another exploration. While developing a home fragrance line, she became fascinated by the science of olfaction, how scent triggers memories and feelings. Her curiosity led to formal training in Paris and a global pursuit of perfumery knowledge alongside master perfumers.
Today, that systems mindset shapes Swirl Works. Kori designs elevated fragrance experiences for corporate teams, executive gatherings, and private events. She also speaks on the intersection of fragrance and innovation, offering leaders a new perspective on the future of human connection
